For those of you who have not seen the Fiftymen, they are my favourite local band. Dark, morbid country combined with rock and punk results in a high-energy show. I take a lot of flack for loving a country band, but this is hardcore country in a way that I think anyone who loves rock can get behind as long as they're willing to check their stupid assumptions about country music at the door. Think about some of the awesome stuff Johnny Cash did.
Anyhow, 8pm, Saturday, $20, plus there's a cash bar. Be there!
